Santa Mug

This pattern was inspired by the Santa Mug cross stitch pattern found on the Pinker n Punkin Quilting Blog. Melissa has a long history of sharing beautiful and unique cross stitch and quilting patterns for free. The original inspiration is the classic Santa Mug and this version is based on one that I purchased at the Dollar tree.

2022 Palmetto Tatdays Day Lilly

Sorry I forgot to post the pattern for the Palmetto Tatdays.  I was looking at photos from the event this morning when I realised I forgot to post the pattern that goes with the kit that came in the grab bags!

20th Anniversary Day Lilly

Vicki Clarke 2022 victats@gmail.com

This year is the 20th Anniversary of the Palmetto Tat Days.  I looked up the flower for a 20th Anniversary and it’s a Day Lilly.   They are all different colors so feel free to experiment with different combinations.

Materials

1 shuttle or needle

Thread color of your choice

Kit Contains: flower Sequin, 2 seed beads, Bent pin (I used pliers to bend the pin.  Wear protective glasses just in case)

SCMR    4 p 4

C             12 lj (vsp) 12

SCMR    4 p 4

C             12 join to beginning, hide ends

Assembly instructions:

Add 1 seed bead to pin, then add the petals so that the 2 motifs are offset and then add the sequin.  Before you add the 2nd seed bead put a dab of glue on the pin to hold the bead in place.  I recommend using E-6000.  Then slide the seed bead into place.  Now you have a mini–Day Lilly Pin!

You will start at the middle stripes and then tat rows outward.  Then you will go back and tat the middle strip on the other side and tat outwards.   The flag does narrow a bit and if this bothers you then you can leave a bigger space between the chains (this is where you join above the rings)

Coming Soon

I hoped to get this pattern finished in June during Pride Month unfortunately I did not succeed.  The first challenge was the colors since some of my thread was lost in the fire.  So the original sample did not follow the colors just the shape.  Even with this sample I hope you will excuse the fact that I don't use white thread.  Some of the colors I used size 20 Opera thread which comes out to a similar size as Lizbeth thread but I don't have white Opera thread.  The pattern is still being typed out but I'm tio happy with it to wait to share it.  The flag will be a gift to my friends Lisa and Heather.

A Very Canadian Tat-a-long 2022

It's that time of year again! Today marks the first day of the Very Canadian Tat-a-long. This last for three days and will take around 30 minutes to tat each day.
Unfortunately there is no diagram this year, I haven't downloaded a program onto my new computer. I was using an older program which is no longer available.
Again this year the AVCT will be followed by a 4th of July Tat-a-long that will start on July 2nd and finishe on July 4th. I hope you will check back afterwards because there are a few more patterns that I'm planning on sharing.
