Long time no blog...

I haven't been a very active blogger over the last year. It's a long story. I think of things to share and then never actually blog. Truly, I blame pinterest. I'm a Visual person and that site is seriously addictive.

I'm currently on an organization kick. I get motivated to reorganize in the summers. Its challenging due to lack of storage space in my house. I've found tips on you-tube but when it comes to tatting there's not a lot of help.
I have a lot of tatted samples of patterns not yet completed or written out. So to try to conquer my brimming green bag of tatted things, I purchased a small album from the dollar tree. If the album works out I will purchase a few more.
Tatting tools and stuff seem to appear magically in the strangest places in my house. I wonder if I'm the only one with this issue?

  1. Nope. You're not the only one with the issue :)

I agree - Pinterest cares for my visual needs too.

And sometimes it's just nice to enjoy life without blogging. I think of lots of things to blog about, but then I get doing something else . . .

  2. What a great idea for motifs! I say get going on writing the, out because I love your stuff! In fact on Friday I made 4 of your simple hearts, just for the comfort and pleasure of it!

  3. Those little photo albums are great show saving samples or showing off your projects. We gave them as table favors at Shuttlebirds a couple of years ago. Someone usually has one on the display table showing off their work.

  4. The photo album to store tatting is a great idea. I have a drawer in my craft cabinet where all my finished tatting goes, but there's no organization. Thanks for the idea.

  7. I have several of those albums, too, for bits of tatting! It's a good system! And I also have a 'soft' jewelry display storage item on a hanger (with clear acrylic pockets) , so I can see all my pendant motifs at a glance. It can be rolled up, if I wish.

This little hobby of ours requires a lot more space than I ever imagined, with all the thread and shuttles and jewelry making supplies and small flowers and ribbons, and frames, and .... well, I could go on and on! My portable Christmas tree is always decorated to take to shows. I don't know how I'd keep track of those items, otherwise! It's all quite a challenge!
