Quaker Pumpkin Edging

Do you remember the Quaker Pumpkin pattern from last year?  I also made an edging for this pattern.  There is a slight change in the pumpkin at the top to make the edging.  I make the pumpkins first and then the vine and stem.

As always we are working together on these free patterns so any mistakes that you find please let me know.  While I have test tatted the pattern it doesn't mean its perfect.  Cheers!

Acorn Motif Pattern

Happy Fall Everyone!   The mighty Acorn is a traditional fall motif that we all need to have in our pattern library.  This pattern is a simple interpretation of the acorn.

Keep this pattern in mind, we may be using this in a future pattern.  Of course this all depends on how much share time I have this month lol.

For those Canadians who are reflecting on Canada’s history today I invite them to look at this pattern from a few years ago https://victats.blogspot.com/2021/06/every-child-matters-day-1.html?m=1.  Tatting and reflection go together very well.

Have a Great Day!

Coming Soon- A Very Canadian Tat-a-long 2023

For the last few years I've shared a mini tat-a-long leading up to Canada Day and the 4th of July. This year the Very Canadian Tat-a-long will only be 2 days, starting on Friday and ending on Saturday. You will need red and white thread and 2 shuttles if you are a shuttle tatter. Needle tatters only need one needle. For this year you will use something called a reverse lock join. Fortunately the amazing Jane Eborall has instructions for this join here The 4th of July tat-a-ling will start in July 2nd and will last 3 days. You will need thread on red, white and blue.

Clowder Star Pattern

So wow!  Its been since December 14th that I've posted?  So my first pattern of the year is here a little later than planned.  No one here is surprised....

I thought that the points on this star looked like cat ears and to me it looks like a circle of cats.  A grouping of cats is called a clowder so I named this doily the Clowder Star.  At some point in time I will do a larger version based off this star but right now I am obsessed by the Renulek Spring Doily 2023!
